In this 3-day class, hosted by Prohibition Glass Studio, Hamm will answer all you flameworking questions as only he can (loudly and emphatically). Prepare for information-packed days including roundtable discussions and demos. The class will culminate in a gallery party and what is sure to be a truly ridiculous Hamm demo. Private lessons are scheduled on a cases by case basis, at least two months in advance. Hamm is open to one-on-one classes or up to three students at a time. The subjects covered can be requested by the student(s) including lathe work, bench work, specific techniques, etc.

A typical class would be 3 full days, with the prior evening devoted to meeting and planning.

Flameworking, Lathe, and Installation

In this course, students should prepare to change how they think about flameworking with this team driven, hands-on class. First, students will learn about project planning, heat control and flameworking basics in a classroom setting. Then they should plan to expand any previous flameworking experience by moving away from the bench to tackle a large-scale project with full student participation. 

Intermediate/Advanced level
